On March 19, 15 members of the Green Affordable Housing Coalition submitted letters urging members of Congress to support pending legislation to promote the financing and development of green and sustainable affordable housing. Versions of the Energy Efficiency in Housing Act (EEHA; Senate) and Green Resources for Energy Efficient Neighborhoods Act (GREEN Act; House of Representatives) were introduced during past legislative sessions, with the House passing the legislation as part of broader climate change legislation during the 110th and 111th Congresses. Both bills are pending introduction in the 111th Congress. For more information, read the EEHA and GREEN Act letters or the bill summary from the 111th Congress.
